Healthy Habits
Building health habits is such a powerful way to enhance your well-being and reduce things such as stress. Having and completing habits can also help you become consistent in other things, create stability, help you stay organized, improve mental health and time management, and help accomplish goals.
Before starting a habit, have a clear idea about what you want to do and how you want to accomplish it. When trying to build habits, don’t overload yourself. Start slow and don’t give yourself so many tasks that you become overwhelmed. A great way to help you stay on track of your tasks is to write them down or download an app. In this article, I give you my personal favorite habit tracking apps. Here are some great habits that you can start off with:
Go to Bed at a Consistent Time: Make it a habit to consistently go to bed at a certain time. A good day starts with adequate rest.
Eat 3 Meals: It’s important to start taking care of your body and nurture it with the right foods.
Have a Water Goal: Drinking enough water is equally important. A water tracking app I love is Water LLama. It gives you a water goal based on things such as gender, your activity level, and other things.
Exercise: Exercise is great for you; physically and mentally. This would be a great habit to incorporate in your day.
Journaling: Journaling is a great way to express and write down whatever is on your mind. There are also so many benefits to this such as reduced stress.
Creating a Vision Board: This is a great way to visualize what you want to accomplish. Normally, I make one at the beginning of the year, but you can make one every month, or even every week!
Weekly Reset: Starting your week prepared and organized is another great stress reliever. I normally reset every Sunday.
Social Media Limit: Like I’ve said before, social media can be so draining and toxic, especially for women. Try making it a habit to reduce your exposure to it like setting a limit for maybe an 1 a day on it.
Acts of Kindness: Practicing acts of kindness will not only make you feel good about yourself, but others will notice your kindness and it will make them feel happy as well.
Prepare the Night Before: Preparing your things, like your school bag, the night before will save you time in the morning.
Get Out of Your Pajamas: Getting out of your pajamas and even just getting in a sweat set is still a great habit and will make you feel more productive.
Those were some healthy habits that would be great to start out with while on your wellness journey. Creating habits like these can be the stepping stones to success. Remember to start small, and build up from there.
Love, Always,
